For the past couple of years (!) now, we have done a live show every week on our Facebook page. With only a few exceptions, we’ve gone live every Tuesday night at 6:00 pm sharp, not to mention a second monthly special show and a handful of briefer pop-ups.

At each show we usually present approximately 200-250 items, with little to no repetition of merchandise. A general estimate is that we’ve probably presented more than 25,000 items to our audience!

And we sell everything on a first claim basis, buy-it-now pricing. First person we see comment on the live camera gets the item.

We do not auction merchandise- we are not auctioneers. Nor are we a yard sale. We try to make sure that the items we sell are of good quality, working condition. Any particular defects we may see are noted and shown during the show.

So let’s give everyone a little peek behind the scenes of our production, let you see some of what goes into every episode.

First of all, let me say that we’ve done a lot to streamline our process. Everyone has their job, and knows exactly what needs done and when to do it. After all, we get a lot of practice!

So it starts with our show vendors. They bring in their items, priced and prepared for the amount of shows they have committed to. We have created designated areas for each vendor. When it comes time for show setup, we know exactly what items to pull.

We do any Facebook posts that we feel we should do about the show, get the word out, and let our followers know about what’s happening.

The day before the show goes on, we setup the display areas. Items get pulled and put out, either on the show tables or into our baskets. The space gets cleared and the onscreen set table, chairs, screen, etc. is made ready.

On show night we arrive and start pre-show checking. We make any last minute arrangements, go over any details that need to be talked about or shown, and check to see everything is set up properly before airtime.

Maurice counts us down, making sure we’re on track to go live on time! Everyone gets into position- and at 5:59 the live feed begins!

Freeze frame on the store mascots (Nessie, Bobo, Max Quack, Kitchen Witch, and of course, Headly).

Viewers start to log on, and at promptly 6:00 pm the theme music starts! We give a quick scan of some of the evening’s merchandise, and our hostess Susan gets the selling started!

I run the camera, Cindy enters the sales into the system, and our terrific crew sorts and puts away the items.

Everything is made ready for customer pickup when we open for business.

We’re pretty proud of our little show. We hope you enjoy it!

If you do, please like and follow our Facebook page. And please share with your friends & family- the more the merrier!

We’re always open to suggestions and feedback as well. If there’s anything you think we should do to make the show more enjoyable, please let us know!
